New road…

The road in front of our house is being replaced. This has been quite a thing to watch. It all began with the replacement of the water pipes running under the street. After that crews began ripping out the street and curbs. To accomplish this most of the trees on our street had to be cut down. Right now I barely recognize our road. Today they came through and put up new curbs. I have no idea what the road will eventually look like because these curbs are at least a foot or more higher than the old road. It seems like these high curbs will make parking cars in the street difficult because there will be no way to open doors without smacking the curb. I suppose we should be glad that the road is being replaced because it was in terrible shape but it all sure looks weird right now.
