A good long soak…

Coming home from camping is always such a good feeling. I think everyone should go camping if only for the reason of learning to deeply appreciate coming home. There is nothing that feels so good when you come home as a long soak in a clawfoot bathtub or any bathtub. Cooking over an open fire seems to seep into your skin and no amount of washing in the woods ever makes me feel clean. The other thing I appreciate when I come home is slipping between the blankets of my own bed. After nights spent either on the ground or on a lumpy camper mattress my own bed just feels perfect. Any complaints I might have had about my home slip away after camping for an extended period of time and I realize how truly fortunate I am to have a home.
