Career choices…

My brother-in-law recently took a bride. I am trying to be optimistic for them and their future but there are areas where it is difficult to do so. His new bride quit her job about 3 months before they got married. This isn’t a great financial loss to them because she was not working in a real career such as Houston web design or anything along those lines. In fact, despite having a college degree she was working as a cashier. What troubles me is the fact that she has made it clear that she will not be looking for a job at any point in the future. They do not intend to have children ever which makes her not working seem a bit odd. She also does not cook and leaves cleaning up to whoever she might be living with. I have been told that she will be working on a book she is writing rather than looking for an outside job. It will be interesting to see when or if this book nears completion. As long as they are happy it doesn’t really matter what I think but it leaves me wondering what my brother-in-law is gaining in this relationship.
