Real life jobs…
Posted by The Inspector on November 6th, 2011 filed in UncategorizedI was surprised this week to look at the optional courses offered by my youngest son’s cyber school. One of the courses was centered around career choices. My youngest son is in kindergarten and he has no idea what choosing a career means. To him being a super hero is a great career choice. As much as I love the school our children attend I find classes like this a waste of time. I don’t believe anyone knows at such a tend age what they want to be in life. It wasn’t until I was in my twenties that I began to have real feel for why someone might pursue Dietician or Nutritionist Jobs. Honestly, it wasn’t until I had been out in the workforce for a time that I began to feel strongly about my career choices. Something sounds idyllic when you are selecting a college class but it is quite different to work in a profession. Kindergarten should be about exploring your world as opposed to selecting a vocation.
