Sport’s fan…

Today we spent the afternoon with my wife’s family celebrating Thanksgiving. While there I got to learn a bit more about my new sister-in-law which was interesting. In my wife’s family there has never been a discussion ever about sports or watching sporting events. They simply don’t care about sports and never have. I once expected at least one of my brother-in-laws to have a collection of sport trophies but they didn’t. This isn’t to say they aren’t athletic but they simply never played in organized sports. My sister-in-law shocked me by asking to watch a football game while she was there so that she could catch up on the score. Never in my life would I have expected this to take place. I seriously thought I would go to my grave never having another person in the family to discuss sports with.
