Vacation time…

This week I got a notice from our human resources department indicating that I had vacation time that I need to use or lose. I would love to take some time off and sit around somewhere relaxing on teak wood patio furniture but it isn’t going to happen. We are so overwhelmed at work right now that taking time off would only put me further behind than I am. I need to see if I have the option of at least getting paid for the time I haven’t used or something. We accrue vacation time throughout the year which makes it easy to lose track of just how much time you have at certain point during the year. It would even be nice if I were able to carry over some of this time for just a while and use it after the start of the new year when things slow down a little.
